Will qmail install on a RedHat Fedora server?

Yes. qmail will install on a RedHat Fedora server.

It has been suggested that if you use Dave Sills Life With Qmail to perform this install that you may want to increase the softlimit from 3000000 to 4000000.

This prevents the following tcpserver error reported by some users:

/usr/local/bin/tcpserver: error while loading shared libraries:

libc.so.6: failed to map segment from shared object: Cannot

allocate memory

The softlimit is increased by editing the following file:

/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run
