AUTORESPOND:_too_many_received_from

When I send email to a remote user I see the following in my qmail logs:

May 5 16:58:38 cssimsp0 qmail: [ID 748625 mail.info] delivery 14: success:

AUTORESPOND:_too_many_received_from_[myemail]/did_0+0+1/

What does this mean?

Answer:

This warning is most probably generated by a certain autorespond software for qmail.

The idea is to stop autoresponder wars. ie if you and the recipient both use autoresponders and one of them is broken then this could lead both autoresponders to reply to each other in an infinite loop. There is a broken autoresponder out there. Find it and fix it.
