Does
the Cyber Sentry service take logs of our throughput?
Yes.
Cyber Sentry has a sophisticated logging facility that will record and log all
the following details for all emails that go through the system:
- Sender
- Recipent
- Attachment
name / s
- Subject
/ Title of the email
- Size
of the email
- Details
of any virus infected attachments
- No
other details are logged by our system.
Why
do we log these details?
When
we setup your email accounts on our system we will start to log certain details.
These details will be used to produce a report, which we will present to you
after the end of the trial period. This information is provided to you purely
for informational purposes so you can evaluate our system.
After
the end of the trial period we will provide you with access to our “stats
center” which will allow you to analyse this information in real time. From
here you will be able to analyse your companies email usage patterns.
Does Cyber Sentry disclose this information to third parties?
From time to time Cyber Sentry will provide purely statistical information to third parties. This information will not contain ANY personal or sensitive details, such as company names, users names, email addresses or email subjects. Disclosures of this information will only be made to identify trends in our industry.
Why does Cyber Sentry release this information?
As members of the Internet community we have a duty to protect other users from virus infections. To this end we will volunteer our statistical analysis to any anti-virus company who wants it.
